# Privacy policy — Tab Volume Booster

The add-on changes how loud a browser tab is. It has no server, no account, no analytics and no ads.

**What it can access.** Its script runs on web pages (`http` and `https`) so it can find the `<video>` and `<audio>` elements there and change their sound. It doesn't read page text, form fields, cookies or addresses, and doesn't keep a history of the pages you visit.

**What is stored, only on your device:** the volume level of each open tab, as a number, in the browser's session storage (`storage.session`). It lives in memory, is deleted when you close the tab, and is gone after the browser restarts.

**What is sent outside your browser:** nothing. Sound is processed inside the browser and is never recorded or sent anywhere.

**What is never collected:** personal data, browsing history, analytics, advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared.
